Brian Dalzell Subject: Re: Sabine’s Gull, Head Harbor Passage

An adult Sabine’s Gull was reported to me by Jim Leslie, inn keeper from the Marathon Inn here on Grand Manan. It was feeding with Black-legged Kittiwakes off Swallowtail Light on the evening on September 18th.

Chris Bartlett reported this rare sighting in NatureNB Listserv: I posted this message earlier to the Maine-birds list and thought that it would also interest folks here.  Don Mairs and I took a boat ride today (9/21) from Eastport, Maine to East Quoddy Head Light, Campobello, New Brunswick. The highlight was an adult Sabine’s Gull that we watched feeding with Bonaparte’s Gulls in Head Harbor Passage.
